Access Control for a Multi-Tenant Facility
Biometric and card access across shared entrances and service areas.
The challenge
Keys were being copied and shared, and there was no record of who entered service and plant areas or when.
Our solution
Biometric readers were installed on sensitive doors and card readers on shared entrances, with access rights assigned per tenant and per area. The system was integrated with the existing CCTV so entry events and footage correspond.
Implementation
Doors were surveyed for fail-safe or fail-secure behaviour in line with fire-safety requirements, backup power was provided to every controlled door, and tenant administrators were trained to issue and revoke credentials themselves.
The result
Controlled, auditable access to shared and restricted areas, and credentials that can be revoked the same day a tenant or member of staff changes.
